Financial Policies at EYECARE for You

Eyeglasses are customized purchases and refunds are prohibited.

All patients are offered to warranty their purchase.  For those insurance patients who choose to warranty their purchase and for all cash pay patients:

Pupil distance measurements without an eyewear purchase cost $25.  Troubleshooting eyewear problems with eyewear purchased elsewhere costs up to $75.

Within 60 days of the original purchase, a 1-time lens remake may be made to adjust the prescription or lens design.  No refund may be issued, although additional fees may be collected for an upgrade.

Within 30 days of the original purchase, a frame exchange may be made if the returned frame has no signs of damage or wear.  No refund may be issued, although additional fees may be collected for an upgrade.

This counts as the 1-time remake and all other alterations to the patient’s lenses are charged at a 50% discount from retail pricing within 90-days of the original date of purchase.

If a patient wants to return an unused, unworn pair of eyeglasses within 30 days of the original purchase, the patient may receive credit on his/her account toward the purchase of another product within 1 calendar year.  This may not be used on exam services or dry eye treatments.  This may not be transferred to another family member.

Contact lens purchases are only guaranteed from EYECARE for You’s vendors.  Lenses purchased from other external sources may not be FDA-approved.  Aside from contact lens trials provided during the examination, only patients who purchase contact lenses from EYECARE for You are eligible for extra trials or advanced troubleshooting within 90 days of the contact lens examination.  Additional fees may apply to all patients after 90 days from the original exam for prescription changes. Standard contact lens examination fees range from $100-$150.

Contact lens purchases from EYECARE for You may be exchanged or returned for credit within 365 days of the original purchase if the boxes are unopened, unmarked, and undamaged. No refund may be issued, although additional fees may be collected for an upgrade. This may not be used on exam services or dry eye treatments.  This may not be transferred to another family member.

Hot compresses, solutions, eyelid wipes and any other products purchased from EYECARE for You may be returned for credit with 30 days of the original purchase if they are unopened, unmarked, and undamaged.

Record requests are common for a variety of reasons.  Due to the time required to review and print/upload documentation, we charge a flat fee of $25 for any medical records requiring more than 15 pages, and then an additional $1 per page for anything over 25 pages.   

If a patient No call/No shows, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to schedule the next appointment. 

If a patient Reschedules/Cancels within 24 hours 3 times within 1 year, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to schedule the next appointment.
