At EYECARE for You, we accept many vision insurance plans, however we strongly recommend a medically based comprehensive examination for anyone experiencing eye or vision issues, anyone with significant refractive error who requires eyeglasses or contact lenses daily, individuals with a family history of eye disease, or anyone over the age of 40.
Please note vision membership plans ONLY cover a basic refraction and limited eye health check.
As per our contracts with medical insurance providers, medical insurance must be used when signs or symptoms of medical conditions include, but are not limited to cataracts, dry eyes, ocular allergies, diabetes, hypertension, and floating spots are discussed or documented during the exam.
The refraction results in your eyeglass prescription. It is not always covered by insurance.
Contact lens examinations are separate from the annual comprehensive eye exam but may be discounted or partially covered by your vision membership plan. The fees depend on the type of lens fitting required to give you the best vision possible. This service fee occurs annually and includes your custom measurements, evaluation, trial lenses, and follow-up appointments, but does not include your supply of contact lenses.
Contact lens exams can be performed at the same time as the routine eye exam upon request.
The recommended imaging at EYECARE for You includes:
iWellness, which is state-of-the-art technology that lets us see beneath the surface of the retina, where the first sign of diseases like macular degeneration and glaucoma appears.
Ultra-widefield retinal imaging, which is a true to color, high-resolution image of the back of your eye. This may be used in addition to or in replacement of dilation drops during routine examination depending on your clinical situation.

In our Richboro and Newtown offices, we participate with almost all major medical insurance plans, including Medicare and almost all Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, and United Health Care plans.
The vision membership plans we participate with in Richboro include VSP, EyeMed, Davis, Spectera, NVA, and VBA.
The vision membership plans we participate with in Newtown include VSP and EyeMed.
